LRT - vibrating quartz crystals for very safe applications
LRT stands for our exclusive LOW ESR Resonator Technology and sets the standard in the manufacture of quartz resonators. The dimensions of the quartz resonator for generating a specific frequency are matched to the corresponding housing and the quartz resonator itself is sawn out of a synthetic quartz block of the highest purity using a cutting angle specified via 4 coordinates (usually AT-cut or AT-CUT). The resonator is then lapped in several stages, pre-metallized, mounted in the housing and then final metallized before the housing is sealed in a vacuum environment. That is the simplified theory. In practice, however, we rely on 31 patents for the production of the SMD LRT resonant crystals we supply and exclusively develop and manufacture resistance-optimized resonator designs ourselves, so that we achieve outstanding results. Customers who purchase LRT resonant crystals from us already appreciate this enormous advantage of our LRT technology. Compared to competitor products, our 100% tested LRT crystals offer significantly lower resistance, which brings significant benefits to the user.

When we measure our SMD LRT crystals in customer circuits, compared to the competition, we find that our LRT oscillator crystals
- with their very low resistances oscillate very quickly and very reliably in all customer circuits. Even in circuits with ICs whose oscillator stages do not have a good negative input resistance, or the negative input resistance of the oscillator stages of the ICs in the series scatters. This means that the transient response safety factor (SF) for our SMD LRT crystals is always very high, allowing the application designer to develop an extremely reliable circuit at any time by using our LRT crystals. Quick and easy. Connect the crystal to the IC via a short cable, install external circuit capacitances or program the corresponding capacitances internally, and the very safe circuit with our LRT oscillating crystal is ready.
- Very high transient response safety factors in the circuits are very important for the product safety of the corresponding end product. Particularly in battery-operated applications, the use of our resistance-optimized LRT quartz oscillators can reduce system energy and thus significantly increase battery life. Because our LRT crystals oscillate extremely quickly and safely due to their very low resistance, much less energy is required to operate the IC.
