Many crystal manufacturers have stopped supplying us with 7.0x5.0/2pad and 6.0x3.5mm/2pad SMD oscillating crystals immediately and without last time buy. This has resulted in a very large shortage worldwide, which we can service accordingly. By implementing our 2pad ceramic packages, we can close this gap and offer a lead-free and RoHS-compliant solution with a short delivery time to any customer looking for a 7.0x5.0/2pad or 6.0x3.5mm/2pad crystal in the corresponding ceramic package. Our ceramic housings are so-called "seam sealed" housings. In the "seam sealed" quartz versions, the cover is welded onto the ceramic body. For this purpose, the ceramic body has a connected metal frame onto which the cover is then welded. Compared to previously available SMD crystals in "glass sealed" housings (not lead-free, but only RoHS compliant) or full ceramic housings, our "seam sealed" versions can maintain very high frequency accuracies.

The 7.0x5.0mm/2pad oscillating crystals can be supplied in the frequency range from 6.0 to 160 MHz, and the 6.0x3.5mm/2pad SMD crystals in the frequency range from 8.0 to 160 MHz. The temperature range for both versions extends from 0/+70°C to -40/+125°C, whereby automotive-compatible solutions can also be supplied. The frequency tolerance at +25°C is ±10ppm max. and the temperature stability above -20/+70°C is ±10ppm max., ±15ppm above -40/+85°C and ±50ppm above -40/+125°C.
It goes without saying that all quartz resonators installed in these two ceramic housings feature the LOW ESR resonator design that is extremely popular with our customers. This means that the quartz resonators used are resistance-optimized and, thanks to the low resistances (ESR), achieve an enormously high transient response in the customer circuit, even if the negative input resistances of the oscillator stages of the ICs or SOCs used are low or even vary greatly.
